Types of Futures Orders
Are you ready To communicate your order to your broker?

Canceling Order: An order that cancels a speculators previous order.

Fill-or Kill: This is an order that must be filled immediately or canceled

Limit Order: An order in which the trader sets a limit on the price of the order at the time of execution.

Liquidate: This means either buy or sell a futures contract (or an option)on the same delivery month that the contract was either bought or sold.

Going Long: Buying a futures contract

Going Short: Selling a Futures contract

Stop Order: Placing a stop order at a specified price. A means of protection in a market.

Stop-Limit Order: A stop order in which a trade must be executed at the exact price or better

Time Limit Order: A customer order that designates the time during which it can be executed.
